Superstar Virat Kohli

 It has been reported that Virat Kohli has returned home due to a family emergency, just days before the start of the first Test against South Africa.

 Virat Kohli will return to playing for India in their upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa that starts on December 26 with the opener at the SuperSport Park.

 The Indian Test squad boarded a flight to London from Mumbai ahead of India’s tour of England. During India's UK tour, two Indian teams will be in action simultaneously.

“Honestly, I’m taking a break. I felt like I was doing too much in the last 2-3 seasons. So I have taken breaks here or there in the one-day or Twenty20 series. But I don’t want to miss Test cricket, really.”

The world's most famous cricketer, its best multi-format batsman and pin-up for millions, has made test cricket cool in India. His love of test cricket has persuaded team-mates to stay interested, motivated members of the Board of Control for Cricket in India to resist the allure of swallowing the Indian Premier League dollar completely and ensured that a generation of young Indians is growing up wanting to play test and not just T20 cricket. 

“It is a reflection of the balance of power if Virat says that (Tests are the most beautiful form of the game) you’ve got a lot of people who will listen,” explained Gower.
