 Michael Holding said Virat Kohli need to relax a little a bit so as to allow his teammates to express themselves freely.

 Under the leadership of Virat Kohli, India have faltered at different stages in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, 2019 ICC World Cup, and the 2021 ICC World Test Championship.

 Having led India in 61 Tests, he is the most capped India captain in Test cricket. The records don't just stop here yet. The 32-year-old is also India’s most successful Test captain. 

 Former England off-spinner Graeme Swann has come out in support of India skipper Virat Kohli after New Zealand got the better of India in the World Test Championship final.

 With close to 40 days left before India and England walk out at Trent Bridge to start the much-awaited five-match Test series, Team India is getting busy tying out all loose ends. They’ve requested the BCCI to ask the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for two four-day warm-up matches in July. One of those two matches will be against England Lions (their ‘A’ team) while the other is still work in progress.

 Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson are known to share a mutual respect for each other, and even after Wednesday's result their friendship stood out to the crowd and people back home watching the moment on television.

 Speaking at the press conference after his side's loss, Virat Kohli said, "I am not in absolute agreement of deciding the best Test side in the world over the course of one game. If it is a Test series, it has to be a test of character over three Tests - which team has the ability to come back in the series, or totally blow away the other team. It can't just be pressure applied over two days of good cricket and then suddenly you are not a good Test side anymore. I don't believe in it."
