Superstar Virat Kohli

 Virat Kohli opened up on his relation with MS Dhoni, during the wicketkeeper-batter's tenure as India captain. Kohli also pointed out that their good relationship led to the transition to his captaincy role easy.

 Kohli made his all-format debut under Dhoni and later on took over the all-format captaincy from the legendary cricketer. Right from the beginning of his career, Kohli has received backing from Dhoni and it has continued even after the great man retired from international cricket in August, 2020.

 Virat Kohli, who has bought a second house in 6 months in Alibaug, has paid Rs 6 crore to get the possession, paying Rs 36 lakh in stamp duty.

 This despite the fact that Kohli initiated some changes that the BCCI and the top brass are inculcating now (focus on fitness, important to prioritise the World Cup at the expense of IPL and workload management among others).

All through the journey, Virat Kohli proved to be a pillar of support for the India youngster, as revealed by their RCB teammate Dinesh Karthik. 

 Virat Kohli is more than just a cricketer or a former captain of the Indian team. He is a role model, once Indian cricket has longed for since Sachin Tendulkar. Despite the presence of superstars in the team such as Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav, Kohli's presence stands out.

 Ahead of the second Test, in Delhi, Virat had 1694 runs in Border-Gavaskar Trophy and needed 44 to go past Sehwag's record.
